Jesse Martin DU hockey suffers fractured neck after big hit Saturday night (VIDEO)

DENVER - the University of Denver says forward three neck fractures suffered Jesse Martin during a game in North Dakota.

A University statement says Martin a Minneapolis hospital began Saturday for testing purposes.

Aaron Leu, University Associate Director of sports medicine, said in the statement Sunday Martin feels in his limbs and is subjected to further testing to determine whether an operation is required.

Martin was taken forward Brad Malone in the second period of North Dakota.

Martin's father, Terry Martin, told the Denver Post, that his son was unconscious and had no use of his limbs for a few minutes.
